Majek Pictures make a musical in the Californian desert, planned, filmed and edited on the iPhone 5 in just four days

A little over a week since Apple’s latest smartphone was released and Majek Pictures has done it again by making what must be the first film to be shot and edited on the iPhone 5.

This time Michael Koerbel and Anna Elizabeth James, the duo behind Majek, have come up with a brilliant tongue-in-cheek ’musical’, All Up To You!,  inspired by the iPhone 5′s Siri voice app.

At just over a minute and a half long, All Up To You! not only demonstrates the camera capabilities on the new iPhone 5, but also the outstanding production, editing and directing talents of these two young filmmakers.

If you remember Koerbel and James were among the first to seize the iPhone 4 when it was launched over two years ago to make another 90-second short, Apple of my Eye and they since went on to make the Goldilocks spy thriller series – all of which was shot on the iPhone.

Released via The Studio in Your Pocket website, All Up To You! may look like an official Apple endorsement, but don’t be fooled; they made this film for the sheer hell of it, and it looks like they had an enormous amount of fun while doing so.

The film was also conceived, executed, filmed and edited in just four days – exclusively on the iPhone 5.

“We’ll all look back on this in five years’ time and remember how crazy it was that we made movies on iPhones but it’s now the norm,” Koerbel told

“We just want to make everyone smile,” said James. She did that all right. Check out All Up To You! here:
