Vimeo scores with its music store for film-makers

Vimeo Music Store

Sound and vision: Vimeo has a huge bank of music for soundtracks

Following our article earlier this week on Moby giving up his music for free for indie film-makers, we have learned of another useful resource when looking for a soundtrack to your video or film.

A number of readers pointed us to the Vimeo Music Store; and while not all the content is free, its database has 45,000 curated tracks with two different license options, which are:

Creative Commons-licensed, music curated and provided by Free Music Archive and Paid, music tracks are provided by Audiosocket.

Vimeo Music Store features a simple and intuitive interface that makes it easy to search for tracks using a variety of different music criteria, and then the option to purchase and/or download the tracks you want.

This is exactly what we need, right?
