The International Retro Film Contest is now open for submissions, and we are also pleased to announce that smartmoviemaking.com is its official media partner.
The rules are simple, all you need is your iPhone and the Silent Film Director app. Choose between actor or director, drama, comedy or action thriller in a number of genres including black and white, sepia or ‘hippie retro’.
Prizes include the chance to win a new Apple iPad, tickets to see silent film classic Napoleon in San Francisco, iPhone styluses and iPhone stands from Blue Lounge.
The jury will include myself; Rob Byrne, president of the San Francisco Film Festival; Ben Model, America’s leading silent film accompanist and silent era expert and Craig Badura, educator, media/technology specialist and silent film enthusiast.
