Floating Cinema joins London design festival

The Floating Cinema will be taking part in Multiplex at The Dock, as part of the London Design Festival, which opens on Saturday.

Hosted by Tom Dixon, former head of design at Habitat, Multiplex at The Dock runs from Wednesday 21 to Friday 23 September, and London’s unique picturehouse will be presenting a programme of short films by students and alumni from the Design Interactions department at the Royal College of Art selected by Floating Cinema artists Somewhere, alongside highlights from The Floating Cinema’s live tour. 

Maria Smith of Studio Weave, the Floating Cinema architects, will give a talk about their design approach at 11.45am on Thursday 22 September. 

The Floating Cinema will be open to the public from 10am–6pm Wed 21, 10am – 8pm Thurs 22 and 10am–1pm Friday 23rd.
