Another company using the Kickstarter website to raise funds for innovation and design is Kogeto, who claim to have developed the world’s first 360-degree video capture device for the iPhone 4.

The ‘dot’ is described by the makers as a lightweight and durable pocket-sized immersive video capture device that simply clicks onto the iPhone 4.

‘Dot lets your iPhone capture immersive, fully navigable, panoramic video in real-time – and share with friends on your phone, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, or streamed online using our awesome panoramic video web platform and player,’ says a company statement.

Kogeto is already taking advance orders and it looks a great little device for smart moviemakers. The company raised almost $30,000 over the initial $20,000 required and it is now in the final stages of developing the lens and tooling for volume production.

And if you haven’t already got a Glif for your iPhone 4, then check this great little accessory out from developers Studio Neat. They are another company who used Kickstarter to raise funds to manufacture this absolutely beautiful and practical tripod adapter for the iPhone 4.
