Cinephone Film Festival: open call for submissions
Barcelona-based Cinephone Film Festival is putting a call out for submissions from international filmmakers producing shorts on their mobiles.
The festival, now in its second year, is particularly strong on promoting work from amateur filmmakers (over 18 years) who are seeking valuable feedback and exposure. All films must have been made on a mobile device, are original, unpublished and under 15 minutes long.
Previous winners include Conrad Mess for his iPhone masterpiece The Fixer.
Submission deadline is 31 August 2013 and selected films will be screened at Fnac retail centres in Barcelona, with an awards ceremony to be held on 28 September 2013.
Prizes in include €800 ($1,073) for the 1st Jury Award; €400 for the Net Award and €200 for the 3rd Jury award.
All terms and conditions are available from the Cinephone festival website.
